Applications of Visual Welding Inspection

This course is designed for QC personnel, welders, instructors, supervisors, new inspectors with limited experience, individuals pursuing the AWS CWI Certification or for anyone wishing to learn the step-by-step procedure for conducting welding inspection. During the course each individual will learn which inspections are required and how to perform them prior to, during and after welding. The attendee will become proficient in the use of various inspection tools required in the industry, witness live welding operations, write welding procedures, monitor the mechanical testing of the procedure and welder qualification tests, evaluate radiographic film and complete final documentation. The attendee will be working in the classroom, the mechanical testing lab and an actual fabrication shop environment.
